WE ARE
Amber is not made but rather formed naturally over millions of years from the resin of ancient trees, typically conifers. This resin undergoes a process called polymerization, hardening and fossilizing into amber over geological time. To create amber-like pieces, artisans can use copal (a younger resin) and heat it to mimic the appearance and properties of true amber. In addition, some craftspeople might blend resins with additives or dyes to enhance colors and create jewelry or decorative items, but true amber remains a unique natural creation.
